 Hawaiian Red  or Alea Sea Salt is made by evaporating the crystal clear sea water surrounding the Hawaiian islands in shallow pits lined with red clay called Alea imparts the red color to the salt but also imparts it with a lot of trace minerals. Its unique flavor and vibrant color makes it ideal for seasoning foods that need a bold crisp flaver or to add a splash of color.
